As a reformed gang member, Christian started working in group homes and witnessed the continuing need for positive role models and safe entertainment for childen in the group home setting. He founded Funny Bones Entertainment in 2003 to serve that purpose and has since expanded to reach children in foster care, juvenile detention centers and public schools.Who has been your most influential role model and why?

WHAT WE DO
Hollywood LiveWe bring Hollywood to group homes through concerts, sports and entertainment at our annual events. Kids from group homes are invited to private events that are safe and closed to the public. We make it possible for these kids to hear the positive messages that Funny Bones stands for in a format that engages and entertains them.
Exit StrategiesWe also provide same service for children in public schools and juvenile halls. We travel to different school and correctional institutions to bring messages of gang and drug prevention with a heavy dose of entertainment. Founder of Moore Productions, a film production company, Bishop has produced and directed various cable TV shows and documentaries for over a decade. His documentary, Fantasy (2010), tackles the conflict between urban youth and the convoluted messages found in mainstream hip-hop. He captured hip-hop's biggest names and unraveled a much needed dialogue between youth and rappers. Due to his message in Fantasy and his interest in the youth, Bishop was sought out to be a key figure in Funny Bones. Currently, Moore Productions is partnering with Funny Bones Entertainment to produce mentoring opportunities and to document the historic journey of urban youth through Hollywood.
Who was your most influential role model?- "My Mother because she is a strong and independent individual that taught me about personal responsibility."continue
In the early days of the hip-hop era, Talib started an independent record company, Ta’San Records, with the intention of sending out positive messages to urban youth and attempting to guide them in a direction that didn’t include gangs and drugs. Now, a Real Estate Broker and owner of GTS Realty, he is still intent on showing our youth that there is a better way. His motto is, "I have to do something to save the children."He got involved with Funny Bones in December 2010 after attending a dinner and program at a group home that was put on by this group of dedicated individuals. It was at that event when he realized that Funny Bones and its founder, Christian Redd, have the same intense desire as he to do something to change young lives for the better.
